Helping Children, Families & Adults to Flourish!
Helping Children, Families & Adults to Flourish!
Hello, my name is Kerynn, and I am a registered, trauma‑informed counsellor and the founder of Flourish Support Services, which provides Early Childhood Intervention, capacity-building support and counselling in the Northern region of Victoria.
I created Flourish as a warm, safe, and neuro‑aware space where people of all ages - children, adolescents, adults and families feel understood, supported and truly valued.
My work with children focuses on emotional regulation, communication, confidence, developmental needs and supporting families through early childhood challenges. With adolescents, I support identity development, overwhelm, anxiety, communication, regulation, relationships and navigating life transitions. With adults, I provide trauma‑informed counselling for stress, anxiety, grief, trauma recovery, communication challenges, emotional regulation and everyday wellbeing.
For more than 15 years, I’ve been dedicated to understanding the psychology of human behaviour and early childhood development. My academic pursuits in behavioural science, counselling, domestic and family violence response, trauma recovery and neuro‑aware practice have shaped the way I support children and families. I’m now completing a postgraduate degree in Early Childhood Disability Support through the University of Newcastle to deepen my work with children, families and NDIS participants.
I have a special interest in neuroscience, and a significant moment in my professional journey was training with Dr Bessel van der Kolk at his Melbourne workshop, The Body Keeps the Score. Neuroscience has deepened my understanding of trauma and neurodivergent impact on the nervous system and how our experiences shape the way we think, feel and connect with the world, our community and our loved ones.
I am a registered member of the ACA (Australian Counselling Association), ARCAP (Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), Psychology Today, HealthShare, Halaxy, and Health Direct, and am listed as a trusted provider within the Campaspe Shire Council directory, delivering NDIS and private support for our community.

At Flourish Support Services, our values of inclusion, acceptance and equality guide every part of our work with children, adolescents, adults and families.
Inclusion means every person is welcome exactly as they are, with their identity, neurotype, communication style, culture and lived experience respected and valued. We create spaces where people of all ages feel safe to show up authentically, without masking or minimising who they are.
Acceptance is the foundation of emotional safety. Your story, your pace and your protective responses are honoured without judgement. Whether supporting a child learning to regulate, a teenager navigating identity, or an adult working through trauma or stress, we meet each person with compassion and curiosity.
Equality shapes our commitment to ethical practice and advocacy. We work to ensure every client receives fair, dignified and accessible support, and we actively challenge systems and barriers that impact wellbeing, participation and growth.
These values sit at the heart of Flourish Support Services and inform the support that is provided.
